First of all, we’re glad that the support plates themselves serve their purpose and that you’re satisfied with their basic function. Of course, this makes it all the more frustrating that the spring clips included in the package don’t provide the necessary clamping force in your case.
Our Caravan Foot support plates are designed to increase the contact area of the trailer supports and thereby ensure better load distribution, especially on softer surfaces. The spring clips are used to secure the support plates to the respective supports and should hold reliably.
The fact that you had to secure the clips additionally with cable ties should, of course, not be necessary when used properly. Especially with fasteners, it’s important that they fulfill their intended function without additional aids.
Since this is one of our Berger products, we’re happy to take your feedback regarding the tension and design of the spring clips into account as an important consideration for future product development.
We recommend that you have the defect inspected as part of a warranty claim, along with your proof of purchase.

Es freut uns zunächst, dass die Stützplatten selbst ihren Zweck erfüllen und Du mit ihrer grundsätzlichen Funktion zufrieden bist. Umso ärgerlicher ist es natürlich, dass die mitgelieferten Federsplinte bei Dir nicht die erforderliche Spannkraft aufweisen.
Unsere Caravan Foot Stützplatten sind dafür vorgesehen, die Auflagefläche der Wohnwagenstützen zu vergrößern und dadurch insbesondere auf weicheren Untergründen für eine bessere Lastverteilung zu sorgen. Die Federsplinte dienen dabei der Befestigung der Stützplatten an den jeweiligen Stützen und sollten entsprechend zuverlässig halten.
Dass Du die Splinte zusätzlich mit Kabelbindern sichern musstest, sollte bei ordnungsgemäßer Verwendung selbstverständlich nicht notwendig sein. Gerade bei Befestigungselementen ist es wichtig, dass diese ihre vorgesehene Funktion ohne zusätzliche Hilfsmittel erfüllen.
Da es sich um eines unserer Berger-Produkte handelt, nehmen wir Deinen Hinweis zur Spannkraft und Ausführung der Federsplinte gerne als wichtigen Punkt für die weitere Produktentwicklung mit auf.
