The ramp wedge - The application

Place your levelling aids in front of or behind the lowered wheels of your motorhome. Then drive your motorhome onto the levelling wedges until the motorhome stands straight. If you are travelling with a caravan, you can carefully pull it onto the wedge with your car or position it with a manoeuvring aid. To check the levelling better, you should place a spirit level on the floor of the motorhome or caravan. There are now also very helpful spirit level apps for smartphones. A second person can then use the spirit level to check how far you need to drive on the levelling wedge.

Finding the right camping wedges

It is important that you check whether the levelling wedge is suitable for the weight of your motorhome, because most vehicle wedges have a maximum weight per axle. If the maximum weight is exceeded, the levelling wedges may crack or chip. It is also important that you make sure that the width of the ramp wedges matches the width of your tyres. If the tyre is wider than the camping wedge, the tyre can overhang to the right and left, which can damage the tyres.
