Once used, you may either send the batteries back to us, or return them in
your vicinity (e.g. at the shop, communal recycling points or at our expedition warehouse) - free of charge. We understand that you are not satisfied with the ratio of operating time to charging time. However, the figures you observed largely correspond to the product’s specified characteristics: According to the manufacturer, the operating time with a fully charged battery is approximately 5 hours, while a full charge takes about 12 hours.
The 4-watt insect trap is designed for portable use—such as when camping—and is intended for rooms up to about 20 m². Flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insects are attracted by the UV light and then captured by the high-voltage grid.
Especially for mobile use, the relatively long charging time is, of course, an important factor to consider when using the device. We regret that the device did not meet your expectations in terms of performance and battery life.

Wir können nachvollziehen, dass das Verhältnis zwischen Betriebs- und Ladezeit für Dich nicht zufriedenstellend ist. Die von Dir beobachteten Werte entsprechen allerdings weitgehend den vorgesehenen Produkteigenschaften: Bei vollständig geladenem Akku beträgt die Betriebsdauer laut Hersteller etwa 5 Stunden, während für eine vollständige Aufladung ungefähr 12 Stunden benötigt werden.
Der 4-Watt-Insektenfänger ist für den mobilen Einsatz, beispielsweise beim Camping, konzipiert und für Räume bis etwa 20 m² vorgesehen. Dabei werden Fliegen, Mücken und andere fliegende Insekten durch das UV-Licht angelockt und anschließend am Hochspannungsgitter erfasst.
Gerade für den mobilen Einsatz ist die vergleichsweise lange Ladezeit natürlich ein wichtiger Punkt, den man bei der Nutzung berücksichtigen sollte. Wir bedauern, dass Dich das Gerät hinsichtlich seiner Leistung und der verfügbaren Akkulaufzeit nicht überzeugen konnte.
