The filter cartridge prevents odours from escaping from the vehicle; replace it once a year.
Activated carbon
An important component of the SOG and SOG II systems is activated carbon. This consists predominantly of carbon (usually >90 per cent) with a highly porous structure. The pores are interconnected, much like those in a sponge (open-pored). Activated carbon is used as an absorbent in fields such as chemistry, medicine, water and wastewater treatment, as well as ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
It ensures excellent neutralisation of the odours extracted and should therefore be replaced annually. For the SOG II floor-mounted version.
