The filter cartridge prevents odours from escaping from the vehicle; replace it once a year.
Activated carbon
An important component of the SOG and SOG II systems is activated carbon. This consists predominantly of carbon (usually >90%) with a highly porous structure. The pores are interconnected, much like those in a sponge (open-pored). Activated carbon is used as an absorbent in a range of fields, including chemistry, medicine, water and wastewater treatment, and ventilation and air-conditioning technology.
