The spring elements form a comfortable base (slatted frame). The comfort sleep system can be clipped to be narrow, medium or wide by varying the hole spacing. I fixed the whole thing with 4 cable ties so that nothing slipped. After a few nights, I changed the position of the yellow supports and distributed the tensioning crosses differently to achieve the optimum lying comfort for me and my wife.
