It’s a shame that the holding force of the new door stop didn’t meet your expectations and that, in your experience, it actually holds the door less reliably than your already worn-out original part.
A door hold-open device is designed to reliably hold an open door in place. For it to function properly, it’s important that the hold-open device and its counterpart are precisely aligned during installation and can engage fully with one another.
If this is the case for you and the connection still comes loose even under light load, that certainly shouldn’t be happening.
Since this is one of our Berger products, we’re happy to take your feedback on the holding force into account as an important consideration for future product development.

Schade, dass Dich die Haltekraft des neuen Feststellers nicht überzeugen konnte und dieser nach Deiner Erfahrung sogar weniger zuverlässig hält als Dein bereits abgenutztes Originalteil.
Ein Tür-Feststeller soll eine geöffnete Tür zuverlässig in Position halten. Wichtig für die Funktion ist dabei, dass Feststeller und Gegenstück bei der Montage genau zueinander ausgerichtet sind und vollständig ineinandergreifen können.
Ist dies bei Dir der Fall und löst sich die Verbindung trotzdem bereits bei geringer Belastung, sollte das natürlich nicht so sein.
Da es sich um eines unserer Berger-Produkte handelt, nehmen wir Deinen Hinweis zur Haltekraft gerne als wichtigen Punkt für die weitere Produktentwicklung mit auf.
