We’re glad to hear that the camp bed seems sturdy to you and that setting it up for the first time went smoothly. We’re all the more sorry that the smell of the sleeping surface is so significantly dampening your otherwise positive impression.
Especially when a new product initially has a material-related odor, this should diminish significantly after sufficient airing out. We can therefore fully understand that, even though you’ve already aired out the camp bed for several weeks and washed the sleeping surface twice, the odor is still noticeable.
To further aid the airing-out process, we recommend leaving the camp bed fully unfolded in a dry and well-ventilated area. This allows air to circulate around as much of the sleeping surface as possible. We would advise against using harsh cleaning agents or heavily perfumed sprays, so as not to unnecessarily stress the material.
The camp bed is designed for portable use while camping, featuring a sturdy aluminum frame and a polyester sleeping surface. Precisely because it’s also used for sleeping, your comment about a lingering material odor is particularly relevant.

Es freut uns, dass das Feldbett bei Dir einen stabilen Eindruck hinterlässt und auch der erste Aufbau problemlos funktioniert hat. Umso mehr bedauern wir, dass der Geruch der Liegefläche Deinen ansonsten positiven Eindruck so deutlich beeinträchtigt.
Gerade wenn ein neues Produkt zunächst einen materialbedingten Eigengeruch aufweist, sollte dieser nach ausreichendem Auslüften deutlich nachlassen. Dass Du das Feldbett bereits mehrere Wochen ausgelüftet und die Liegefläche zweimal gewaschen hast und der Geruch dennoch wahrnehmbar ist, können wir daher gut nachvollziehen.
Um das Auslüften zusätzlich zu unterstützen, empfehlen wir, das Feldbett vollständig aufgeklappt an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort stehen zu lassen. So kann die Liegefläche möglichst großflächig von Luft umströmt werden. Auf aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder stark parfümierte Sprays würden wir dabei verzichten, um das Material nicht unnötig zu belasten.
Das Feldbett ist mit einem stabilen Aluminiumgestell und einer Liegefläche aus Polyester für den mobilen Einsatz beim Camping konzipiert. Gerade weil es auch zum Schlafen verwendet wird, ist Dein Hinweis auf einen länger anhaltenden Materialgeruch besonders relevant.
