Umbrella Stands: Hold Parasols on Any Surface
An umbrella stand with a ground spike secures the beach parasol in soft ground, such as sand or earth. For stony ground, plastic umbrella stands are available to ensure your camping parasol remains stable. These can be filled with water or sand to add weight. When positioned vertically, a beach umbrella can also serve as a privacy screen, providing more privacy on the beach. However, a parasol is only suitable as a windbreak in mild winds. If the wind is too strong, it’s better to fold up the parasol to avoid damage.
