The SKOTTI is moving into the next phase: the SKOTTI 2.0 is here! And, of course, it hasn’t lost any of its versatility and flexibility. Quite the opposite! It’s had a really neat update. The new SKOTTI now comes with the ‘Pool’ grease tray – but more on that later.
The SKOTTI remains a top choice for barbecuing in the park, by the lake, on the balcony – on the table or on a picnic blanket; people have even barbecued on a snowboard, a paddleboard, out on the open sea or on the bonnet of a car– with the SKOTTI, you really can barbecue anywhere. It’s the world’s first gas barbecue made up of plug-in components: you can set it up in under a minute without any tools. And it gets just as hot as a standard freestanding barbecue. Screw on the gas cartridge, hold a lighter to the ignition port – that’s it!
You control the heat using a rotary regulator, and in no time at all you can enjoy something delicious off the barbecue. And whilst you’re eating, your SKOTTI cools down again, so you can set it aside, clean it or stow it straight away in its washable tarpaulin bag.
Now with the new “POOL” grease tray
Speaking of cleaning, it’s now even easier thanks to the new ‘POOL’ grease tray. In the new SKOTTI, it replaces the previous, almost flat base plate. Not only does this prevent fat from dripping onto the surface whilst barbecuing more reliably than before, but it also makes cleaning easier after your meal, provided the tray is filled with a little water before lighting the SKOTTI.
The new grease tray – which, incidentally, has long been requested by many customers – also fits the standard SKOTTI and is therefore available separately. This means that anyone who already owns a SKOTTI can upgrade their model with minimal effort.
You get all this just as you’d expect from SKOTTI: your SKOTTI barbecue fits effortlessly into any motorhome, rucksack, van, canoe, motorbike pannier or on a luggage rack. Or you can simply carry it under your arm – complete with its bag, the SKOTTI weighs just 3.3 kg. By the way: the burner tube and gas hose are safely stored in the two compartments inside the bag, which is, of course, included in the delivery.
Slightly raised front edges
In addition, both front edges of the new SKOTTI are slightly raised, meaning the barbecue offers even greater versatility whilst maintaining almost the same pack size. This allows you to use a larger plancha or frying pan, for example, as all the side panels are now the same height.
Gas, wood, charcoal – the SKOTTI barbecue is a true all-rounder:
The SKOTTI barbecue is a real all-rounder, not just on the grill rack but underneath it too: if you ever find yourself without any gas to hand, you can also fire up the SKOTTI with charcoal or use its body as a small fire bowl to create a cosy little campfire for you and your friends. When using coal or wood, make sure to fill the ‘Pool’ grease tray with about 1 cm of sand, gravel or soil. This provides additional protection for the stainless steel.
Turn your SKOTTI barbecue into an outdoor kitchen
With our accessories, your SKOTTI barbecue transforms into a fully-fledged little outdoor kitchen: take a look at the SKOTTI Cap, our multifunctional lid, as well as our SKOTTI Boks stainless steel containers. Available in two different sizes, you can use them not only to transport your barbecue food without plastic or drips, but also directly as a frying pan or saucepan on the barbecue. That’s why we’ve designed it so that you’ll enjoy it for years to come. However, should you ever lose a part, we offer replacements in our shop.
