AquaTac is the torch with an innovative LED light ring that works entirely without conventional batteries!
The unique, patent-pending HydraCell energy cell technology makes it possible: flat or even empty batteries when you need light are a thing of the past.
The energy cells are activated or reactivated by moisture and oxygen: a magnesium core encased in layers of salt generates energy through an electrochemical reaction and reliably transfers it to the AquaTac torch.
- The HC1D energy cells are activated very simply using any type of water (tap water, rainwater, stream water, seawater or even dirty water)
- Each HC1D energy cell provides an effective runtime of over 60 hours (provided it is reactivated several times).
- Unlike conventional batteries, the components of HydraCell energy cells are harmless, neither toxic nor corrosive, and are biodegradable.
- HydraCell energy cell technology generates light without any emissions and without a combustion process (unlike candles, oil or kerosene lamps, or light from electricity generators)
Activating or reactivating the HC1D energy cells – as easy as 1-2-3:
- unpack the sealed cell, or remove it from the relevant device to reactivate it
- Submerge it completely in any type of water for 15 seconds
- Shake off the water, insert the cell – DONE!

The new water-activated energy cell technology – Please note:
The AquaTac torch, featuring the new, innovative HC1D energy cell technology, provides light entirely without the need for batteries. This is ensured by the electrochemical reaction used to generate energy. To make full use of the cell’s capacity and maximise its runtime, the energy cell must be removed from the torch when it is not in use – essentially to ‘recharge’. This ensures that the maximum available cell capacity is always maintained. Re-activating a ‘recharged energy cell’ then restores full performance.
Please also note: ‘refreshing’ an activated energy cell that is currently in use sometimes yields only a minor refreshing effect, given the existing base voltage. If the cell is kept outside the device prior to reactivation – essentially ‘to rest’ – and also stored there, reactivation produces a significant effect and unlocks the energy cell’s maximum capacity.
