Fibreglass Frame

Many dome tents or trekking tents have pa frame made of fibreglass. The material is made of epoxy resin, is robust and at the same time very light. The individual segments of these tent frames are connected with a rubber band. This makes the tent frames easier to assemble. 

Another advantage is the small diameter of the boom. It takes up much less space in the backpack or luggage.
