The Schöffel family business can look back on a history of more than 200 years, which can certainly be described as eventful. Founded in 1804 in Schwabmünchen by Georg Schöffel as a flying trading company for knitted socks, stockings and pointed hats, it was to develop into a major company for ski and outdoor clothing. Over time, the company grew and with it the opportunities. And so it was that in 1961 Hubert Schöffel expanded into a new field of business alongside retail and launched his own production. While street trousers are the company's bread and butter at the beginning of production, Schöffel soon notices the emerging trend towards hiking as a leisure activity. Schöffel's entry into the functional ski and outdoor clothing segment marks the beginning of its great rise to become one of the leading producers in the German-speaking world. To this day, Schöffel lives up to its reputation as a manufacturer of durable, high-quality clothing for all weathers. The company is based in Schwabmünchen, as it was 200 years ago, and today employs around 200 people there.

Tradition and Modernity
To ensure that Schöffel continues to be so successful, it consistently pursues its own convictions.
