The fact that the oily residue you described appeared in the Portable Buddy during use should not happen, of course. This is particularly important to note when using an external gas hose.
With Buddy heaters, the pressure regulator is located on the heater itself, so a connected hose is subjected to correspondingly high gas pressure, depending on the model. With certain hose materials, this can cause oil-containing components or plasticizers to leach out of the material and be carried into the heater along with the gas flow. A suitable filter is therefore provided for such hose systems.
We deeply regret that you had a different experience with this hose and that your Portable Buddy was affected as a result. We therefore find your feedback regarding the hose and the use of a filter particularly helpful—also for other Portable Buddy users.

Dass es bei der Verwendung zu den von Dir beschriebenen öligen Rückständen im Portable Buddy gekommen ist, sollte so natürlich nicht sein. Gerade bei der Verwendung eines externen Gasschlauchs ist dieser Hinweis wichtig.
Bei den Buddy-Heizgeräten sitzt der Druckregler am Heizgerät, sodass ein angeschlossener Schlauch je nach Ausführung mit entsprechend hohem Gasdruck beaufschlagt wird. Bei bestimmten Schlauchmaterialien können dadurch ölhaltige Bestandteile bzw. Weichmacher aus dem Material gelöst und mit dem Gasstrom in das Heizgerät transportiert werden. Für entsprechende Schlauchsysteme ist deshalb ein geeigneter Filter vorgesehen.
