Product description

The Solar-Duo MPPT (maximum power point tracking) charge controller is designed for simultaneous charging of two batteries (further referred to as BATT11 and BATT22) in a solar system. As a residential battery (BATT1)this controller supports multiple battery types, including lead-acid, gel, AGM, LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) and Li-NiCoMn (lithium nickel cobalt manganese), making it ideal for RV, caravan, boat, etc. travel. The device automatically detects the system voltage of the starter battery (BATT2) and charges the battery by trickle charging

The Duo controller uses the advanced MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) control algorithm. This is an algorithm implemented in photovoltaic (PV) controllers to continuously adjust the impedance of a solar system so that the PV system operates under varying conditions, such as changing solar irradiance, temperature, and load at or near the solar module's peak power point. The Solar-Duo thus always gets the maximum energy from aPV system - compared to the PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) charging method, energy utilization is 20-30% higher

If there is no manual operation for a longer period of time and the charging conditions (see operating instructions) cannot be reached, the controller switches to the energy saving mode in order to maximize the capacity of the battery for the consumer. The system parameters are displayed and set via an integrated LCD display or the remote display MT11(accessory). The controller has an IP33 protection rating, which is waterproof and dustproof. Multipleprotection functions, including battery overcharge protection, overdischarge protection and reverse polarity protection of PV and battery, ensure the safety, stability and lifetime of the solar system.
