To ensure that you reach your destination reliably with your motorhome, the Kenwood Navitainer DNX451RVS is equipped with motorhome navigation from the leading specialist Garmin.
When calculating the route, information relevant to the motorhome, such as clearance heights, weight restrictions, driving bans and particularly narrow roads are taken into account.
With the already installed database you can quickly find your campsites.
The DNX451RVS provides a varied entertainment programme thanks to its DAB+ digital radio, DVD/CD drive, USB connection and Apple Carplay. A Bluetooth hands-free car kit is of course also on board.

With the "Kenwood Remote App" you can use your Apple- or Android- Smartphone as a remote control.

Individual settings
Restrictions and warnings for operation in large vehicles or trucks can be switched on and off or adjusted. Thus, individual warnings can be suppressed while other messages are displayed.

Particularly simple operation
Despite the wide range of functions, special emphasis was placed on simple and clear operation during the development of the DNX451RVS. This can be seen in the large keys and the handy rotary control or the very structured menus. The main menu can be changed individually, for example coordinates can be used to search for parking spaces.

Different vehicle profiles
In addition to the special navigation software for large vehicles, the differentiation between motorhomes and trucks in particular brings enormous advantages. Some route sections, for example, are not approved for rush hour traffic or are closed for trucks. In order to calculate the ideal route for your vehicle, all relevant data such as height, weight, length etc. is saved and included in the route calculation.

Warnings and Alerts
The DNX451RVS indicates warnings with a yellow bar. Warnings are issued for e.g. tight bends, sections at risk of crosswind, danger of touching the ground, steep gradients or slopes. Existing warnings are additionally announced in advance by a grey field on the left-hand side of the screen.

Blocked route stages
Notes on route restrictions are highlighted in red. Depending on the setting, for example, blocks are issued for max. height, weight limit, max. width or (for truck use) for areas that are blocked for long-distance truck traffic.

Speed warning
The visual and acoustic warnings for speed limits can be individually adjusted. Changes in speed limits are announced in advance to allow for an early adjustment of the speed.
Extensive POI database
The POI icons are displayed as search results and in the POI Overview page. Truck and RV specific POIs are displayed on the map and in the search window. If required, the DNX451RVS POI database can be expanded in no time at all. Additional POIs can be imported via USB stick and managed in the device.

Apple CarPlayTM
Apple CarPlay is the elegant solution for seamlessly connecting an iPhone (from iPhone Generation 5 and iOS 7.1) to the DNX451RVS. The CarPlay concept offers much more than just the possibility to use the music player and telephone function of the iPhone. With CarPlay, selected iPhone applications can be displayed on the DNX451RVS's large touchscreen monitor and operated via large touchscreen buttons. The "Home" button, familiar from the iPhone, can also be found on the user interface of the CarPlay menu and leads back to the start screen from any submenu in the usual way. A long press on the home button starts the voice control via Siri as the second operating variant of Car-Play. For example, calls can be initiated, music titles can be searched and messages can be dictated or read aloud. The iPhone's navigation function via "Apple Maps" is also possible. Here too, destinations can be conveniently searched for and selected by voice control. To connect the iPhone, nothing more is needed than the usual Lightning-USB-cable.

Adjustable viewing angle
To ensure that the display is always perfectly readable even in bright sunshine and at difficult installation angles, the contrast and brightness distribution of the naviceiver display can be adjusted to suit the viewing angle. This way the picture is always displayed with a particularly rich black and good contrast and readability is significantly improved
Removable Dual-USB connection cable
The new DNX451RVS has a dual USB port on the back of the device. For example, a smartphone can be connected in parallel to a USB memory device that is permanently left in the car and only remains on the USB port while driving. The USB cable is equipped with a plug connection that is insensitive to interference and thus facilitates installation. Both USB ports supply up to 1.5A charging current each to charge connected devices during operation.

Dashcam link
The Kenwood Drive Recorder DRV-N520 can be connected to the naviceiver via the Dashcam Link function. Not only can the image of the Dashcam be displayed on the naviceiver, but also the complete control of the individual functions can be done via the touchscreen of the DNX451RVS monitor. Warning notices indicating dangerous situations detected by the integrated driver assistance systems are also displayed clearly visible on the monitor of the Navitainer. In the design of the Dashcam itself, this connection made it possible to dispense with a separate monitor and thus create a particularly compact housing that does not disturb the driver's field of vision.

Spotify control
Users of the popular music streaming service "Spotify" can now also listen to their music via the car radio and, thanks to its own user interface, operate it very conveniently. For this purpose, the corresponding app must be installed on the smartphone as usual and, depending on the type of smartphone, a connection must be established with the naviceiver via Bluetooth or cable. Spotify is then shown as an independent source on the display of the DNX451RVS and all important functions such as searching and selecting individual albums or tracks can be operated just as easily as playing playlists or stations.
