IntelliRoute creates a route based on the characteristics of your vehicle. Simply store it in your device and IntelliRoute will calculate a safe, motorhome-friendly route. Routes are calculated based on roads of appropriate width and height, avoiding low bridges or weight restrictions and many other hazards.

IntelliRoute, together with the largest camping and pitches specialists in Europe (ACSI, Bordatlas and Camperstop), has integrated an OVI database that accesses the most comprehensive data collection available for campsites (9,000 pcs) and pitches (15,000 pcs).

uses high-quality digital maps from the market leader Here Global™. Routes can be calculated using postal codes, street names and "places of interest" and even by simply entering a city, town, GPS coordinates, multiple routes or a selected destination directly on the map.
Motorhome-specific radar location
Unlike other navigation devices, our navigation systems show you speed limits that are specific to your vehicle size and class. Plus, Intelliroute allows you to update the SpeedShield database 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at no charge.
While many conventional navigation systems with radar detectors only provide updates every 3 or 4 months, our dedicated radar data collection team updates the database daily so that you can download it from the second a radar is added.

Vehicle-specific arrival
times You can adjust the calculated arrival time to the cruising speed you are driving in order to obtain more accurate forecasts. You can continuously reduce the time calculation either by up to 25% or increase it by up to 25%.

Avoid uphill or downhill gradients You
can specify whether the routes are calculated to avoid unwanted uphill or downhill gradients. You can select values between 9% and 20% and exclude corresponding gradients from the calculation.

Multiple route calculation (Multi-Routing)

Navigation devices from Car Guard Systems have always had the most elegant design. But they not only look good, they also offer the performance to match. Take our new and unique software for multiple route planning. Multiple routes allow you to calculate a single route with up to 16 different destinations simply by adding addresses. There is no need to stop and restart the device and search for each address. You can now easily calculate all destinations of the day, change their order at any time, add or delete new destinations. Up to eight travel routes with several destinations to be approached in sequence can be created.
If you wish, you can have the shortest route and most sensible sequence of stages calculated automatically. For each individual interim destination you have the possibility to select route options. At each stop, the map view will show you the time and distance of the stopover.

While IntelliRoute is specifically designed to guide motor homes and
caravans along safe and approved roads, the product also has a car mode setting. Simply switch the navigation system to car mode and you will be guided to your destination on the best possible route for your vehicle. Since the navigation system is offered as a mobile version, it can be easily switched between several vehicles. This results in two navigation systems in one!

To play music, video and navigation announcements (the radio voice output amplifier module is required for the CA8050, CA8020, CA7000 and CA6000).

Free online live traffic jam avoidance

Smartphone / tablet and / or mobile internet access or WLAN required. Live Traffic Service uses only 400 MB if used for 8 hours per day/ 20 days per month.

If you are driving for business, you know how important it is to be informed exactly what to expect on the route.

Accurate and reliable information is a must to ensure that you arrive on time for your appointments. Traffic information is fed from hundreds of thousands of vehicles and sensors across Europe and is therefore very up-to-date.

IntelliRoute's congestion warning service alerts you to all traffic incidents in the country and lists them in order of distance from your current location or alphabetically. In addition to this overview, you can also monitor traffic incidents that occur on the route you have programmed into the system. And if there is a traffic jam on your route, you can simply let the navigation system automatically calculate a route (with an alternative route) that avoids it.

Intelligent route calculation

The route is calculated depending on the distance travelled (such as steep gradients), vehicle speed, vehicle dimensions, vehicle type, vehicle load, intended use, etc.

Legal speed warning device

The display of the permitted speed on almost all roads throughout Europe is shown to you at all times on your IntelliRoute. The value for the desired speed deviation, above which the warning should be issued, can be individually selected by the user.

Useful settings

In the menu you can choose which important information is displayed on the navigation device during the journey. You can choose between speed, arrival time, remaining time, automatic enlargement of the map when changing direction. In the "GPS" menu you can display the current GPS coordinates and the altitude above sea level.
