about the author
For more than 20 years, Michael Hennemann has been plagued by outdoor wanderlust, traveling on foot, by bike, or in a canoe. A few years longer, he has been eating exclusively vegetarian food out of conviction. During his extensive wilderness tours he appreciates the advantage of ready-made food from the trekking store to bring variety to the menu, but he is always on the lookout for vegetarian dishes that are easy to prepare on the road and still taste delicious. If the DIY also saves money - all the better.

Brief description
Looking for alternatives to pasta with tomato sauce? This outdoor cookbook includes an extensive collection of vegetarian and partly vegan recipes and is aimed at all adventurous trekkers, cyclists and canoeists who want to do without meat on the road, but not without taste and variety in the menu.

The spectrum ranges from small snacks for in-between meals to easy-to-cook dishes with (fresh) ingredients from the supermarket to ultra-light, pre-cooked and dehydrated menus. These are especially in demand on trekking tours, when provisions for several days must be carried in the backpack. On the trail, a pot, a small stove and some water are then enough to prepare the homemade trekking food.
