Questions at the beginning, preparation, suggestions for family microadventures.
about the author
Ingrid Retterath spent her childhood outdoors: After school, she explored the local area alone and with friends, on weekends there were always excursions with youth groups, and during the vacations she went on long trips to vacation camps in the mountains and by the sea. Later she also took responsibility for others and looked after children and young people between the ages of five and twenty
For the participants, the activities were as varied as they were adventurous: geocaching at night with preschoolers, coordinate hikes with ten-year-olds, canoe trips and caving with teens, and much more. Today, the author lives with her three children in Hürth near Cologne - when they're not out researching travel books or on a microadventure ... Ingrid Retterath has already written a good dozen hiking guides for Conrad Stein Verlag.
Short description
Microadventures are on everyone's lips. Far from being reserved for adults, they are great fun for the whole family and can easily replace a vacation. In doing so, it may well be leaving the comfort zone without leaving home! For example, how about spending the night in your own backyard or hiking to the highest point in your hometown? Instead of perfect planning, the focus is on spontaneity and improvisation. A good microadventure comes with extremely little expense, preparation and prior knowledge
Some basics should be known, however, so that everyone can enjoy it and no one is harmed. The book summarizes basic considerations, legal issues, and some basic techniques that will make the microadventure a mega experience. It then presents 70 ideas for microadventures in the city, in the countryside, in the forest, on and in the water, in the air and underground. Many inspiring photos make you want to start your first microadventure together right away.
