Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the Thule Fabric Clamps with us.
It’s a shame that the holding power of the awning clamps didn’t meet your expectations and that, in your experience, the clamping mechanism sometimes slips when tightened.
The Fabric Clamps are designed to secure items such as awning fabrics or suitable fabric panels and to provide additional mounting options while camping. It’s important that the clamps grip reliably and can be secured firmly.
When tightening, care should be taken not to apply excessive force to the clamps, so as not to put unnecessary strain on the clamping mechanism. At the same time, when used properly, they should of course provide sufficient hold without the connection spinning freely.
We therefore regret that the clips were unable to meet your expectations regarding fastening and stability.
Thank you very much for your helpful feedback.
