Product description
Flexible Van Awning for Travel
The Outwell Desert Van adds an extra sheltered living space to your van or camper van. Thanks to its freestanding drive-away design, the awning can remain set up at the campsite while you’re on the road. Upon your return, it can be reattached to the vehicle.
The Vehicle Attachment System allows for quick attachment and removal without blocking access to the side doors. To accommodate different parking situations, the Desert Van can be mounted either at the rear or on the side of the vehicle.
A large mesh window with a waterproof curtain aids ventilation. The door can be used as a canopy with separately available support poles, creating an additional sheltered area in front of the awning.

The water column provides information about the material tightness. To determine the millimetre value, 10 cm of fabric is stretched under a measuring cylinder and the cylinder is filled with water from above. The limit value at which water droplets press through the material is the maximum water column. In Germany, a tent outer material is considered waterproof from 1500 mm.
