„The product dissolved very well and without leaving any residue. The product is odorless and does not smell unpleasant. You mix the product in a little water, pour it into the empty water tank and then fill it up with water. We used a watering can to mix the product, which made it easy to pour in. After filling, briefly open all the taps so that the cleaner works in all the pipes. Then leave it to work overnight.“

„The bottle with the chlorine is sufficient for many applications. A small dosing cap is attached to the bottle for dosing. It smells of chlorine. We only use the chlorine agent for questionable water sources.“

„We have very hard water at home. The application is very similar to the tank cleaner. You dissolve the descaler in 10 liters of water (we also use a watering can here) and then pour it into the empty tank. This is filled up with water and then the agent has to work in. The entire system must then be rinsed with fresh water. All limescale residues are removed.“

„We ordered the set to our home and it arrived in small outer packaging. It contains 3 bottles, each of which is printed with instructions for use. There is also another application overview on the outer packaging.“

„The dosage is very simple. Each bottle has a precise description of what to do and how to do it. The tank cleaner and the descaler are already pre-dosed and are used up completely during use. The chlorine is dosed (1ml/10l). The bottle contains a practical, reusable dosing cap.“

„The tank cleaner is in the yellow bottle and is used first. It is a 100g powder which is dissolved in 10 liters of warm water. The tank cleaner has a neutral color. The water becomes slightly cloudy. The powder is odorless. The resulting solution is then poured into the empty fresh water tank.
The next steps follow:
- Fill up the tank
- Open the taps briefly (don't forget to flush the toilet)
- Leave to work - preferably overnight
- Drain the tank into the waste water tank
The last step is practical, as the waste water tank is also cleaned at the same time. We also left the water to work for a while before draining it. You should also bear in mind that the waste water tank may not have the same capacity as the fresh water tank.
It was easy to use. Here, of course, you have to thank the possibility of supply and disposal.“

„The chlorine is filled in a red bottle and contains 100 ml. It is used to disinfect the water and is therefore suitable for at least 10 applications. It is the last step in the cleaning series and then remains in the fresh water. The chlorine is a transparent liquid. It is added to the fresh water tank using the corresponding dosing cap. At first you can smell that it is chlorine. But it disappears quickly. there is no "swimming pool smell". We will use the chlorine as required. For example, as a preventative measure if the water has been standing in the tank for a long time or if you are not entirely sure about the water quality at other people's taps.“

„The descaler in the green bottle is also a 100g powder. As with the tank cleaner, the contents are dissolved in 10 liters of warm water. The water remains clear, does not smell and foams minimally. The cleaning process follows step 1.
- Pour the resulting solution into the empty water tank
- Briefly open the taps and collect the water
- Allow to soak for around 2 hours
- Briefly open the taps from time to time
- Finally, drain and rinse with fresh water
This application is also very simple and the product does the work by itself.“
Würdest du die Berger Tankbox nach dem Test weiterempfehlen?
„We will continue to use the product and apply it twice a year as recommended. Once at the start of the season and again at the end of the season. So a clear recommendation. We only use the chlorine as required. We pay close attention to where we fill up our water and always use our own hose to fill up. This way we avoid contaminating the water. We use a silver net during the season. I would still use the chlorine if we have a bad feeling about the water quality. Depending on which country you're in, this can sometimes happen.“
Overall impression:
„The application is very simple. The amount of work involved is also low. However, you should plan well in advance when to take the time for cleaning due to the exposure times. We recommend cleaning on two consecutive evenings. It is also important to remember that you need to fill up with fresh water and get rid of the waste water in between. For us, cleaning this sensitive system is absolutely essential and we advise everyone to take good care of their water system regularly.
