The water column provides information about the material tightness. To determine the millimetre value, 10 cm of fabric is stretched under a measuring cylinder and the cylinder is filled with water from above. The limit value at which water droplets press through the material is the maximum water column. In Germany, a tent outer material is considered waterproof from 1500 mm.

It’s a shame that you had such a hard time folding the tent up, in particular. With a pop-up tent in particular, it’s not just the quick setup that should impress—the subsequent folding and stowing should also be easy to follow with clear instructions.
When setting up, the Avila unfolds almost on its own in a short amount of time. When folding it up, however, the flexible poles must be guided and nested in a specific order so that the tent returns to its compact pack size. This is precisely where clear, step-by-step instructions and an easy-to-follow instructional video are especially important.
We therefore take it very seriously that neither our instructions nor the available video provided you with sufficient guidance during this process.
Since the Avila is one of our Berger products, we’re happy to take your feedback regarding the clarity of the instructions and the video as an important point for further improvement. After all, setting up the tent shouldn’t be hindered by the fact that the necessary steps for folding it up aren’t explained clearly enough.

Schade, dass Dir insbesondere das Zusammenfalten des Zelts solche Schwierigkeiten bereitet hat. Gerade bei einem Wurfzelt soll nicht nur der schnelle Aufbau überzeugen – auch das anschließende Zusammenlegen und Verstauen sollte mit einer verständlichen Anleitung gut nachvollziehbar sein.
Das Avila entfaltet sich beim Aufbau innerhalb kurzer Zeit nahezu selbstständig. Beim Zusammenlegen muss das flexible Gestänge dagegen in einer bestimmten Reihenfolge geführt und ineinandergelegt werden, damit das Zelt wieder sein kompaktes Packmaß erreicht. Gerade dabei sind eine klare Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung und ein gut nachvollziehbares Anleitungsvideo besonders wichtig.
Dass Dir weder unsere Anleitung noch das vorhandene Video dabei ausreichend weitergeholfen haben, nehmen wir daher sehr ernst.
Da es sich beim Avila um eines unserer Berger-Produkte handelt, nehmen wir Deinen Hinweis zur Verständlichkeit der Anleitung und des Videos gerne als wichtigen Punkt für die weitere Verbesserung mit auf. Die Handhabung sollte schließlich nicht daran scheitern, dass die notwendigen Schritte zum Zusammenfalten nicht verständlich genug erklärt werden.
